The soul of the heart resides deep in each one of us.
It is the basis of our very being, and contains the single element needed to build the foundation of understanding, of giving......of love, of being.
Sheltered and protected from the world, the ember will diminish over time and one risks eventual death of the ember. Fuel not meant to be exposed to the ember, or elements that would attack it may flame the ember or extinquish it completely, never allowing it to reach its full potential.
Embers of the heart above all must be allowed to grow, to learn, and to burn brightly. They must be nurtured from within and allowed contact with other souls to seek interaction, wisdom and knowlege from those souls. Above all, they cannot be shielded from those souls, for to do so will mean certain death of the ember, and ultimate loss to yourself, to others, and yes....even the universe. Given the opportunity, the ember will grow, seek truth, knowlege and understanding......it will learn, though sometimes the learning comes not from where we think it will.....and sometimes the learning will be painfull. The loss of other kindred souls will be the ultimate pain, the ultimate suffering, and the ultimate price for growth...... Your ember..... your soul will be stronger for having touched other kindred souls. You owe it not only to yourself, but to those who have known you to expand yourself, your soul. You owe it to those who have gone before you, beside you, and within you, and perhaps most of all, to those who will come after you to keep the embers alive, and to allow them to burn brightly.
Guard your ember well my friend, for it is precious. Do all you can to keep the ember alive and allow it to flourish by touching others. Above all, never shield your ember from other kindred spirits.....to do so would be the ultimate loss to what we all seek......truth, freedom, knowledge, understanding.....and perhaps above all, unconditional love.
